OSU is in charge of constructing more than one third of the 900,000m² to be developed in the Bjørvika area, the most important city development project in modern Norwegian history. 3,000 people will live in Bjørvika, and 10,000 people will work here. In addition, there will be plenty of shops, restaurants, cafés and much more.
The first part of OperaKvarteret is well on its way, and construction is taking place at the south side of the tracks leading into Oslo Central Station. Several of the office buildings are already in use, and in may 2010 the first residents moved in.
